Alexandra Mas was born in Sibiu, Transylvania. Her interest in the arts developed when she was only an infant, as she was introduced to through her mother’s passion for painting.She began her formal education at the N.Tonitza art institution in Bucharest at only 14 years old.   She meets the famous engraver Marcel Chirnoaga, who mentored her for a number of years.He introduced her to metal engraving, a passion she still carries with her today. At 18 years old Alexandra attended UNAB (the National University of Art, Bucharest), where she majored in Graphic Design under the tutelage of Professor Mihai Manescu. It was during these years that Alexandra exhibited her artwork twice at the annual “Autumn Show” at the National Theater Galery, Bucharest; to the bi-annual international small engravings show in ex-Yugoslavia; the tri-annual engraving show in Kanagawa, Japan; as well as in numerous student shows.

Her regular visits to Paris resulted in a desire to continue her instruction there, and led to her enrolling at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Moderne in 2001. There, she graduated at the top of her class in Design and Interior Architecture. She continued to exhibit work during this period, including at the “Autumn Salon” in Constantza, a happening organized in 2007 in Paris in collaboration with  VJ Daniel Gontz and a ballet dancer, and a personal show sponsored by HVB Bucarest. Alexandra’s work was highly regarded, and led to a number of opportunities in the commercial world, including jewelry design for Christian Dior and interior design for the Louvre Museum, Marsu Productions, and other private commands. In 2006, Alexandra left Europe for California, where she continued to paint and deliver commercial graphic design projects while directing and teaching at a talent school for young children in Beverly Hills.

She has now returned to her spiritual home, Paris, and is actively working on a variety of new paintings and photographs. Lately she has shown  « Body Paint », photographic project created with Make up For Ever, in London at the Cielo gallery (April19th-May25th 2011). Her Art to Wear concept with Eric Tibusch' fashion design  has made a successful intervention in Art Paris at the Grand Palais and has been worn by the world wide known actress Michelle Rodriguez for a red carpet event at the Cannes Festival 2011. On june 30th 2011 Alexandra Mas made a performance with the dancer Elsa Bontempelli at the Festival des Passages (http://festivaldespassages.fr/), Paris. The summer of 2011 was also about dance in painting as the NK galery in Marrais presented some of her works from the "Dancer" collection.
